Update.

Motor fucked looks like it dropped a valve as the timing belt is still there not snapped, but thrashed although with dowels pointing up with cams on the mark, number 1 piston is not at the top.

Not sure where to go with the car atm as i maybe parting it out if i cant find a motor for it over here in WA.

Other option is to rebuild the motor with a special someone over here to help me, you know who you are 😜

Took the head off and its what was expected. All the inlet valves are fucked.

What happened exactly? Did the belt catch somewhere?

 

I'd imagine it was all very sudden rather than something that got worse over time?

Yeah im thinking hydraulic tensioner as the belt was still on and it didnt look like skipped but i wont know until i remove the block.

Yes it was all of a sudden
Just cruising to work at 5am at 100 then tick tick tick tick until i took it off decel/in gear then reds.

Got a jap spec Vr4 engine off a mate thats been sitting for years so im going to take the head off and have a look and replace a few things like belts and pulleys.

Any updates on the sleeper Nimbus?
I remember seeing it when I bought re80rn, anyone who didn't own a Nimbus probably wouldn't've picked it as modified.

Also wondering how the stock 2.4 box held up to boost, as I'm using a 2.4 box in the purple shell and I'm planning on going for boost later on.
