Hi guys new to the community, just scored myself a fairly decent HSGR for $2800 on some 17" Lenso D1 wheels. Really love the car and looking forward to modifying into the ultimate sleeper haha, any info for tuning etc would be great as well as parts blah blah, wasn't too sure how to go about this as it's a first post for me in any forum.. Hooray? I dunno but yeah I'm south brisbane based and always looking for new rvr buddies and parts :)

Hey man, welcome to the forum, is yours manual or auto? You've found the right place to be to build a 63 or 64, theres a lot of options out there so be sure to look through them before laying down cash

and keep the updates coming, I like seeing the transformation

Cheers for the welcome mate, unfortunately auto but stills goes okay. Been offered a tog gtx3582r with manifold & gate for a real good price, but a bit iffy due to their reputation.. Trying to learn more about best ecu options etc. this will be my first build so learning as I go.

Here's a pic of changed plugs 😕image.jpg

Was thinking that myself, came off this guys rvr who's now pushing close to 400awkw. I do like the looks of some kinugawa turbos. Will probably go td05 in the end

Sooooo ran into a problem.. Took rear bar off to disassemble spare wheel holder. When I took the bar off some wires for my brakes, indicators and my reverse lights broke off, now every time I step on the brake my parkers and dash light up. My front left indicator blinks super fast and I can't seem to figure out how it was originally wired as it seems to be a home job. Can anyone recommend someone who I could swing some cash to for them to fix or something? Thanks guys image.jpg

Front blinker blinks fast if rear blinker is not connected.

Prolly a bad earth for the other brake/parklight issue.

Be wary of the Kinugawas...they have good and bad things about them..depending on their use/application.
Mainly the actuators and the bracket that holds them to be precise.

Apparently the autos can be done up quite well, cant speak from experience yet but you'll see my updates when I get it done an I'll be honest in my comparisons, theres a member on here who writes chips for the early ecu's too, or later evo ecu swap is easy too, beauty was they were so cheap but theyre getting harder to find for a decent price.

Will be sure to keep track of progress for sure!

Yeah was thinking of going evo 7 ecu. But I really threw myself in the deep end with this car, no knowledge of 4g's or anything like that. But took a chance so hopefully I'll be able to stalk the interwebs and find something. Everyone in the forum is so helpful, I love it haha
