So apparently after 15+ hours of trying to configure this piece of crap, it's a bad earth or something, still not working but managed to fiddle and see the vacuum on gauge was working. i said to my mates that was the solenoid but because I'm black no one believes me... Go figure haha

What can caus the car when on boost to just cut boost and kind of make a clunk ( speed climbs then just stops, then starts climbing again? ) only does it under full load. Probably gonna replace all vac lines with new ones, since we butchered a lot trying to get the gauge workin

Cheers White Knight I'll send you a message

Boost cut due to a leak in one of the lines.

That open hose will do it.
Looks like its missing part of the charcoal canister??

Why do you have BJ on your hand...hoping/hinting for a blowy??

That open hose you were holding with your BJ hand is the outlet of the boost control solenoid. On an HSGR it connects dirextly to the compressor housing. And Jamo is correct, that is part or the charcoal cannister.

Are you sure? looks too short to go that far, he is holding it over near the brake booster. I think it's what jamo said, it looks like the thing on the top of my carbon canister?

Its carbon canister for sure. The open bit goes to top 9f canister, the other big hose goes onto intake after maf and before turbo. The thinner pipe goes to a solonoid (prolly on firewall and na may not have solonoid) and other end of solonoid onto 'p' port on throttle body.

My bad, I was in line at KFC when I posted. Got the pics mixed up....
Jamo was correct about the cannisyer for sure.
The first pic was the one I was actually referring to in regards to the boost control solenoid. The pipe with the whitecable tie is the outlet that goes to the compressor cover. Sorry for the confusion guys.

Thought it was for carbon canister.. Well my mate did. The tattoo was from when I was 12 in my village at PNG. All hoses fixed no boost cut. Might try get an engine crane and spend the weekend with it out and doing maintenance on it, that'll really help me get a clear understanding of the engine. Was waiting all day for you to make my hotline bling W.K let me down mate haha

Since I don't have a working boost gauge can someone tell me what boost the auto hsg r's run? And what level I can safely bring it up to

Edit ; speaking of the devil..

Have you sorted out the boost gauge? I have an old genuine greddy gauge if you wanna use a trusty old mechanical gauge? Or go buy a turbo smart one from autopro, that's what I have, works good and looks good :)

Nah mate got it working cutting in and out by playing with earth but yeah just gonna bin it worthless paperweight. Gonna get a garret mech gauge or something.

Car has 186xxx and was going to buy boost controller this week but just saving up to bite the bullet on eboost2. Nulon have a recommended fluids for diff and a/t fluids but does anyone recommend using something else? After having some high spirited runs on the highway in Mexico and not kicking in final hear til 160ish gonna open them all up and get them back to good condition. Can't have power without being able to have the wheels move lol

MANUALISED AUTO!!?!?!!???

Coming from someone who had an auto fg with sequential it is very very enticing, has anyone done this in rvr? I imagine you'd be able to tap into it and even add paddle shift from Lexus or whatever.

I'm really really keen on this and if someone has info let me know. I've already done google but it's mostly muscle cars or the typical ford/holden. If it was easy to do manual swap I would

You want a shift box, and link it to the above wheel, that's my plan I dont change it to manual, lol
Road surge are supposedly in the process of making more but its been a while..
forced four are probably a better bet, theres one on a members rvr iirc in qld or nsw?
When searching, use 'dsm auto' you should have more luck
