Would think that most factory suspension which is getting on towards 20 years old would be tired and no good by now??

It's for a daily driver, not phased about hitting corners, I've got another car for that

Not sure you got what I meant. Tired as in sagged and floopy. Terrible to drive.

I got what you mean but there will be shocks out there that people have taken out to put coilovers in that will still be ok. I live in the country and drive 60km to work on a straight road and I'm over the shit feel of coilovers. Didn't realise I have to explain myself as to why I want them

Just a member concerned about your safety of driving on shocks that someone has changed because they are old an warn out.

Have you priced up something like KYB shocks new? And just a stock spring... It will probably be around double the cost of second hand shocks, but will be a safer option... And will be a pleasure to drive on again ..

Ahh no probs ..

May be a long shot ... and someone else may be able to confirm ... But Mitsubishi FTO may fit.. I know brakes and other things do, so you could be in luck. And I see much more stock FTO's being wrecked than GSR/Evo's ...

Just a thought..

Nah I don't think they do and the brakes you need to change a few things and have brackets made up to bolt the calipers on

Do you think I haven't done any research or know the obvious, I've been in the automotive trade for 20 years and done research and development for TRD. I think I know what I want and if I didn't I would ask.

Nah, FTO GPX brakes are exactly the same as Evo I-III .. When building mine, I put them on .. Stock fitments, no brackets...

I do remember guys from the FTO forum looking for coilovers, and they may have run the part number through CAPS and found that it matched up to early Evo .. Or this may have just been a specific Cusco coilover that was listed as fitting both .. Can't really remember, as my memory is deteriorating with my old age...
