Always thought the bolts arent anything special, its the seals that are,
which bolt was it, long or short?

Do you mean the ones that hold the plastic spark cover or the valve cover?

Valve cover colts are just a 10mm, as BYBY5L mentioned it's the seals that are the key part. I used S/S bolts and washers on mine when I changed the seals. As long as they are the right length you're all apples.

Spark covers are different to a normal bolt as they have a collar and washer in one type of deal. It's designed to stop the bolt from going too far into the cast as well as fitting the plastic cover neatly.

Dodgy brothers here.... 10mm bolts plus plumbers tape as a quick fix until you get the appropriate ones. Then forget about it altogether and think "what the hell is with this this white tape?". Lol. Nothing major bro, do as benzo and by by said. You'll be right.

Take an un-fucked one to a bolt shop or supershite and buy an overpriced pack.. Either that or put on a pair of cargo pants and do a nuts and bolts run at the local wreckers to pick up some that might match........as well as the usual 8,10,12,14,17,19mm bolts for spares.
