Hey guys Ive bought an rvr 1994 which has a td04HL standard setup with g6k3 head etc , its going to be a parts car for a new CB lancer project( using the RVR engine)

Just wondering what the gearbox and diff ratios are?, and if they are universal with my 1995 gsr evo III lancer setup as my evo 3 gearbox's 3rd,4th and 5th gears syncros seem to be almost shot from the  previous owner (honest, wasn't me)

Doesnt the cb lancer have roll stops on the block like a vr4? If so, the rvr doesnt have these on the engine, they are on the gearbox.
is this something you have considered?

Ahh i did not know this, I thought maybe they had them on the gearbox like ce/cd9a lancers, Maybe i could get my friend to make a custom crossmember/ either way, back to the drawing board !

Maybe look at a sonata na 2.0 twin cam 93-99. Pretty sure it will bolt to your gearbox and has the roll stops, will accept all the exhaust and turbo bits from the rvr. Run it as a low boost with the na pistons or get some turbo pistons for it.
you should be able to sell the rvr stuff for more than it will cost to get a sonata engine.

I havent done this conversion, so check with the other guys here too

You could ream the rvr head bolt holes and use the rvr head and bits on the sonata block even.

Wow thats interesting, I understand that the rvr's 4g63t block does not have the under bore oil squirters aswell?

I did a search of that hyundai 2.0litre engine, is it the G4CP engine? Damn they look like a 87-90 galant engine, the inlets look so similar
