wassup guys... just a quick Q
my E1 had a no start issues.. i manage to get it fix by rewiring 1 of the MPI relay with a aftermarket Bosch relay..
i also had a lot of oil in my intercooler charge pipes suspect the compressor seal worn of already.. but my real problem is no boost when i drive it.. even the turbo light on the dash wont lit..
is this because of the relay or the leaking turbo compressor wheel..?

Did e1 have a working light?
Give it a compression test for 8ndication of where oil is from.
and a boost leak test to find where the boost is going.

neither the oil or the relay willmake you lose that much boost.

Yes..Evo 1 have the light Jack..just as he posted.

Boost leak test as suggested would be a good start.
Dont know how?
Google it..easy job that will cost around $10 to make one.

+1 for Trist. If not connected to the wastegate arm the most a 16g will tend to make is 3-4psi.
I made a boost leak tester a few weeks ago with bits from Bunnings. $6:70 total cost.
Plumbing section, 50mm rubber cup, end cap to suit. Drill out hole on centte of cap and screw in a tap to suit compressor.
But, my money is on actuator not being connected.

Had a r33 skyline that wouldn't boost and the intercooler was full of oil, the turbo was absolutely shagged the compressor blades were broken and the shaft was bent.

hopefully theres nothing wrong with the relay wiring.. TD05H rebuild kit (Holset) is dirt cheap here..
and its fairly simple fix rather than debugging wires under the dash..

I dont think relay wiring would stop turbo boosting....

nope.. looks ok.. no scratch or bent whatsoever.. just clean up CHRA and replace all the seals stuff needed.
and...
i think the turbine housing need a little porting job..
and also a little porting job on this cast iron stock Evo3 manifold to match the turbinw..

work in progress...

I think what Benzo was trying to say is that ur inducer/exducers outer edges shouldn't be rounded like that. Hence BYBY5L asking are u changing it.
