yeah was gona say ive never seen rounded blades like that also am i seeing things or does your housing look soaked in oil?

owh sorry... my bad.. if it need to be change then it should.. iv got another TD05H lying around here somewhere...

but before that..is there any different between Evo1 & Evo2 turbos..? it look almost the same..
except for the last 2 number marking at the comp housing.. this one here is 45.. and the other one is 46..

and yes sir.. my compressor housing is flooded with oil.

Its always a good idea to have it balanced after a rebuild. But if its completely taken apart it will need to be balanced, period. Otherwise its 99% likely that it'll trash itself really fast if its off balance. Look at the 'nut' on the end of the turbine shaft. You'll notice how its been ground away at wierd places, that was done in accordance to a computer balancing machine to ensure a nice balance, so it doesn't spin off axis and contact the housing at 50,000 rpm or however fast they spin when fully spooled up.

the turbo charger will make more power once dynamicly balanced..
will accellerate faster
last longer

every rotating parts need a balance..
heck..what do i know..

I wouldnt spend heaps on the turbo till you compression test the engine. A new turbo on a fingered engine will still fill the turbo with oil.

Personally, I'd just buy another big 16g and use that. These aren't the types of things you should skimp out on.
