I'm going to put my Aldo auto in Monday/Tuesday, all is well about the methods and wiring but I'm stuck on the fluid.

I can recall mention of a ?Ford type auto fluid? that was the oil recommended, but I may be mistaken, it was a single post on a thread that I can't find anywhere.

I know to steer clear of Dexron.  Can anyone with an Aldo box let me know what fluid is used? It would be much appreciated :)

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Thanks Aldo ;)  I wasn't sure if you were watching the forum otherwise I would have PM'd you.

The auto swap is shit canned for the moment because I wasn't supplied the drivers side mount or flex plate bolts when I bought the box from the guy on the coast. Bit of a bummer but that's the way it rolls with cars.

Check you have the correct starter plate also. I dont know what you would need.
Bolts are cheap from mitsi. Well the manual ones are. Its common to run dual flex plates.

good luck with the mount.

Cheers Jack.

I bought an engine from a guy who split an rvr with a friend, he wanted the engine his mate wanted the auto box. The engine guy found a complete race car so no longer needed the engine, the box guy sold his rvr and no longer needed the auto box, so I bought both. Somewhere between the two of them bits were taken off and not put with the respective items, me being a newb to auto boxes I didn't think to check for them.

I may have to fab up the mount as I can't see any wreckers around here or gympie having an rvr sitting around. A job for another day....................probably june sometime :(

We all miss something. I bought a buell smashed and someone had taken the ecu!!
Ex mrs bought a mazda at auction and it had no engine!

I have the gearbox mount sitting on the box here if you need measurements. I dont think i have the chassis rail part, but maybe...

you could use a magna one or maybe a proton one for the baseplate. I think the 2wd ones have same plate.
