So removed my heater core from the car and now I've got a this ugly hole in my firewall. Just wanted to know if anybody else has removed it and if so what did they use to cover it, is there a blanking grommet that fits or anything.

cheers

What size are the holes? I may have something we can use here.

Tack a metal plate over it and sikaflex the inside. Or just cut a bit of sheet and sikaflex it in place.

Clarke Rubber sell a variety of grommets and plugs, or you could go full race car spec and use a couple of pieces of aluminium tape on either side of the hole. This is how i've covered alot of redundant holes in my car. You can even paint the tape to match the body colour.

Why remove it? Is it a racecar? roadcar?  They can be good to dispel extra heat out of the water to help cool the water down.

the bloke shaped off the heater hose so it needed to be replaced and not really bothered putting another one on to much effort, plus makes it easier for me to feed wiring harness through

I fooked off the plastic heater core elbows that always break for some custom made stainless steel ones. See: http://www.4gtuner.c...coupe/?p=241803

Gotta keep that heater core functional. If you cant buy something, make it! :)
