Basically the car is undrivable. It idles ok, slightly leaner then before, but still ok.timing is good.
When attempting to drive the car, it basically bunny hops up the road. If you keep the accelerator in a fixed position after a very short while (about 2m) the rpms drop & then all of a sudden come back.
I have checked the tps. There doesn't seem to be any voltage spike. The tps receives nearly 5vlt when ignition is switched to on & also when running. But......when you hook the haltech ps1000 up to the laptop while the car is running the ecumanager doesn't display any change in the tps when you press the accelerator. If you turn the car off, ecumanager reads and calibrates the tps just fine.
The tb is an aftermarket thing, which seems to be running a evo 6 tps & not the original rvr tps.
Any thoughts.

G'day. Does the TPS show a variation in the voltage when you depress the accelerator?
Is there a 'learning procedure' for the TPS in the manual.
My Autronic, obviously a different ECU, requires me to do a 'learning procedure' with any change in the throttle position. e.g.
changing idle position for antilag.
Cheers

replaced the tps today. same issues, no improvements.
thinking of running a new signal wire from the tps to the ecu.

Ok so, the 5 volt, ground & signal wires have all been checked. All function correctly when the ignition is switched to on. When you start the engine, the 5vlt & ground still function fine. The signal wire does not. It remains at the closed throttle voltage, even when you turn the throttle body.
If you take of the tps, leave it pluged in and try to turn it with screwdriver to see if it will send and signal???

Being rvr loom an evo 6 tps, is there a possibility of the signal wire changing positions??
I remember when i was testing magna tps, it showed reading of 100% at closed and 0% fully open. I think that was long time ago when i swaped my vr4 or rvr tps with magna one??? Readings were taken with evoscan.

When I repined my harness for DSM ECU and also installed a DSM TPS (which looked IDENTICAL!) but left original TPS wires untouched, turns out wagon's TPS is reversed pinout from the DSM TPS! Make sure you got the right TPS.

Not sure of that part name & for whatever reason I can't upload a pic, but I'll try to describe it anyway.
On the tb, where the tps connects to. There is washer like object with two prongs that is threaded on to the tb shaft. This washer makes contact with the two prongs on the tps.
This washer object had unscrewed itself enough so when you took the tps off it looked fine, but underload it would freespin & not make contact with the tps.
Bit of threadlock & so far so good.
Added to list of other parts that have rattled loose & caused issues.
Thanks to everyone for your help & info.
