Hi I'm having trouble with my fuel gauge, it is reading half full when it is full, does anyone know how to fix this? This is after I filled it to the brim d47aad1591492f496bd92b8e85222412.jpg

I already looked at that, I thought it might
Have been getting caught as I am running a Walbro 255 with the sleeve, so I took the sleeve off and it didn't make a difference, it's weird because very occasionally it will read correctly for like a minute and then drop back down

Sender may be faulty might be worth swapping it and seeing if that fixes the problem

I had the same problem, of on the senders resistance reading was all over the place. Replaced the unit by a working one, now the fuel gauge goes to 3/4 instead of 1/2. I'm thinking about adjusting the needle, I hate dropping the tank over and over again.

Why would you need to drop the tank to remove the sender unit?

Why would you need to drop the tank to remove the sender unit?

Because my 93 colt hatch does not have the inspection hatch at the right position. And also there are 2 different sender units on a evo tank. So you would need to do so in a real Evo as well I think.

A real Evo has an inspection plate on both sides.

ok so I replaced the fuel sender and it made no difference, still not reading correctly. tried to check the resistance but the fuse in my multimeter was blown :fuuuuu: so ill get a new fuse on Monday and check if its the gauge playing up? is there anything in the second inspection hole I should be looking at and also where do I find the earth wires that are related to the fuel gauge/sender?

Both sides have senders in them. It uses both to work out fuel level.
