Hey guys, I recently bought a proton gti with 4G93T and am looking for some easy bolt on since its stock as rock. No history available of what was done to the car by the previous owner beside a walbro 225lph, some unknown fuel reg and chipped ecu has been put in.
Done a compression test on all cylinders all are consistent and checked this morning it currently has the usual factory part from 1.8L GSR:
Turbo - TD04L
ECU - MD187040 E2T38378
MAF - 449 E5T05371
Injectors - white MDL390
Questions:
1) I heard the td05-14b from gvr4 is a perfect bolt on to give continuous boost up to 7k rpm, stock manifold required to be ported to match the turbo and require some slight adjustment on the down pipe. Any proton owners here with 4g93t has any clearance issue with the 14B turbo? eg housing hitting the fan etc?
2) If I were to go for the td05-14b from gvr4, is it recommended to stick with the gvr4 ecu, maf, and injectors?
3) Did some research not sure are the correct following parts for the complete the bolt on? Please advise.
ECU - GVR4 ECU (MD165810 or MD165811) eprom.
MAF - any idea whats the gvr4 maf part number?
Injectors - MDL450 or B450L.
For the 450cc injectors which is more suitable for 4g93T single spray or dual spray? Or it doesn't really matter.
