So, one of my mates picked up a 1989 Galant GSR Hatchback a while ago and we're going to start fixing it up/replacing bits and pieces. But I can't find out what it's called in ASA for the life of me. Does anyone have the Model codes for it?

Eg, like how an Evo III GSR is a "CE9A SNGF"

think it's "E33A" but I can't find a code that shows the hatchback in the diagrams, so I dont think it's any of those secondary codes (the "SNGF" bit)

Anyone know?

If you have the VIN number you can punch it in in ASA in the top left fields. And ASA will automatically fill in all the fields and direct you to the correct parts.

There were sooo many different Jap Spec models, it's crazy.

Your first thing would be to search for an Eterna rather than a Galant.

The cars currently away getting the clutch done so I dont have access to the stamping on the firewall, but i tried "E33A LRGMR8" In ASA and it wouldn't accept LRGMR8 as a classification code. It only lists: LNGM, LNUM, LNUM2, LRGM, LRUM, LRUM2.

LNGM is apparently a "ZX" Whatever that is.. Should I be looking at Galant or Eterna by the way?

We're going to start replacing bits and pieces on his car. But I dont know enough about the Galants to know what parts cross over from other galants, so I wanted to get the exact correct code when picking a vehicle in ASA. The ECS needs some TLC too, and I dont know anything about that system, so I'm not keen on buying parts and hoping they fit :D

So, the Galant GSR isn't actually in the Asutralian version of ASA, strictly speaking?

the Galant GSR was a Aus only setup , they didnt have them with the same specs in the Japan etc

if you have a aus vin , you can call your local dealer and they can email the correct part number to you aswell
