Haha yup, thought I'd make it a funny read for some people. Now I have to wait another 3-4 weeks for my seals :(

Sounds like you needed a 7 course meal. A 6 pack of beers and a pizza.
GSR Lancer- JE-73-VO, 11.701@125mph, 1.79 60" and getting faster. No:3 conrod now orbiting the moon.

haha I would greatly appreciate all of that but if I get a 7 course meal can I substitute the pizza for new valve seals? That would be fantastic haha!

On a plus note today I did receive a part I have been waiting on. I ordered a BOV just to get me by until I can get another HKS or decide to go Tial 50mm still not sure yet which way I will go. So I ordered a ebay bov that I have used in the past with great success. Its not going to be staying on the car I just want it there until I make up my mind.

Thats all for today but at least this time it was forward motion I suppose.

I had them on order since before I was even on here, but I am now in the market for a set once again. Can you send me a message telling me the OD of the valve seals? it should be 14.8mm if so message me a price bud!

The seals I have came in a genuine Mitsubishi gasket / rebuild kit so you can be guaranteed they are the correct item mate.

These are the VITON type also...in case you didnt know from looking at pictures.

These are an upgrade from the standard OEM material to help cope with the higher heat caused by high performance engines.

Im sorry but I cannot include a pizza or a dog to eat it.

Well got an update but no pictures just yet,

block is at the machine shop getting decked and ready for install should have it back by friday,  I got lucky and found a set of valve seals locally that were the right ones so head is being finished tomorrow and I should also have that back by friday. Then all that is left after that is I am still waiting on my cooler lines to show up from Viamoto, once I have that all I should have to do is install and fire it up.

I cant wait to get everything back and get to work, having this on the road again will make me very happy.

Well time for some pics guys!

but first a story as usual, got my block back on the 2nd and was supposed to also have my head back but we decided while its out we may as well properly grind and seat the valves so I wont have the head back until start of January because I am taking a holiday for Christmas. Also got my Viamoto heater matrix hoses, these things are wicked and have perfect fitment and easy to install. All I did was remove the old sealing ring and cleaned the surface and used some RIGHT STUFF silicone. once I got the block back I began to reinstall the bottom end but decided to wait until I have the head but here is how its sitting.

In this pic I had not lubed the bearings just yet, but I assure you I did lube them before installing the crank.

And this is where I stopped after deciding to wait for the head to come back.

Here are the Viamoto Heater matrix hoses.

slowly making progress but I hope to have it running end of January, hope you enjoy the pics!

Christmas is always a stalling point for my project too. Low funds and shops shutting up for the break.

yep same here, I cant wait to get this one going though! If it proves well and holds together im taking her on a cross country rally kinda like Gumball 3000 in may so here is hoping it works out haha. Would really suck to get stranded 500 miles away from home xD .  Id like to put a larger mitsu frame turbo on the evo but not sure what route to go. I was kinda thinking 20G but then started looking into the FP old school red and for the price its hard to say no. then I also had the idea of doing the holset hx35 swap like on my old car and that didnt help any.

also once this gem is running again I start work on my drag car project, so the fun never really stops haha.

Valve stem seals.. I'm in the same situation. I've got 3 sets of viton valve stem seals I can't use on the vr4. I might keep a set or 2 for the AMG though.

I just purchased another set (I need a low OD type, not standard) to suit my dual valve springs.

Have you tried sourcing them locally?

Haha I know the part number you need cause it's the ones I keep getting haha. Vs-h6.6i and vs-h6.6e. Those are small diameter seals meant for dual valve spring kits . I did manage to finally get a set of OEM seals but not viton :(

You got any spare sets? What did you do with your damaged set?
