i'll bet it was because the pulley pulls up on the belt to apply tension not down

So Im not getting the obvious squealing and squeezing noise that comes with a loose belt but it does give a "...kkkkkkkkkkkkkk..." sort of noise if you know what I mean? Did I over tighten something along the way?

Is the tensioner pulley actually meant to spin with the belt like the other pulleys? I'm thinking not...but I gotta ask

At first glance it looks like the tensioner pulley is not lined up with the rest of the pulleys, meaning that the top edge of it is spinning on the inside of the belt and not on the outside edge. Hence why it's shaving the belt a millimetre at a time. I could be wrong but that's what I gathered from a quick look...
