Yeah but being that the calipers are huge the wheels need to have a fair offset...unless spacers are used.
I had 18s on mine with the GTO calipers and they were still close to the caliper.

With adaptors they can bolt up to 4 stud knuckles.
I had 12 mm steel adaptors on the 4 stud knuckles when I had them. I also had discs that were redrilled to 4 stud.

Without the spacer the calipers touched the back of the wheel.

The whole reason I did that conversion was after a track day at Wakefield the standard Evo brakes were absolutely cooked and discs were fucked check out the crack in the pics above from the extreme heat...was a hairy 2.5 hour drive home....at the time it was cheaper for me to do the conversion than buy new discs, pads and rebuild the calipers which were torched...see below.
They were glossy red before the track day!!

What offset was the wheel in the pic with the 5mm spacer?
Good write up man, worth a couple of rep points there, I didnt think about longer studs, at least if I do need them I wont be surprised now, haha, hate surprises

I still run the gto brake upgrade on the gsr. I use a 5mm spacer but am also unsure what the offset is. I've got a spare set of brackets to fit them up if you go down that path jamie

Hahaha, yeah, sometimes I forget your only human too, I really do appreciate the help though, and at least I know to get my spacers back just in case

Cheers bud, I have most of the stuff and I think I have the brackets too ??? Not 100% sure, how thick are they? is it same thickness as the hole diameter? (Or did I imagine reading that some where)

Thanks for the info on the brake set up guys. Similarly, would be interested to hear what offset rims you need for those calipers.

cp9a/ct9a wheel size and offset, you can't go wrong with stock ones

Replying to me?

If so, youre saying that the GTO setup is effectively the same as the Brembo outcome, which would seem better given the bigger availability of pads.

The brackets are made out of 12mm steel
