Not such a huge fan of the TE37s myself. A bit too blocky? I prefer GSRSOL's rim choices.

Thanks mate. All this talk of wheels is making me think I need to add to my collection
Not a huge amount of +40-> so was looking at +35s.

Ive got a perfect set of enkei rp01s only problem is they are 5 stud.
Do the 5 stud conversion and never look back. Write up is stickied in tech section.

Slippery slope! Especially when you already have multiple sets of 4 stud wheels
Out of interest - sorry for not searching other threads - but I saw an Evo 3 on instagram with Brembos, but with 4 studs. Is he not using the later model Evo part trick?

Brembo brakes work well on the newer/heavier evos with good pads, it's a tempting conversion.
Regarding wheels, lightweight rims with decent width and great tyres are the key. People spend money to go fast in a straight line yet cheap out on heavy wheels and crappy tyres. It's like night and day when you've got light wheels/UHP tyres/coilovers/track wheel alignment. People are scared to run -2.5 to -3 camber on the front due to tyre wear, it's the toe that kills tyres, my tyres wear fairly even (What confuses people too is that many tyre shops wheel alignment machines are out of whack, the printouts say you've got 1mm toe on each wheel yet you probably have 3mm which is helping you go through your tyres faster so they can sell you new tyres sooner. So just go to a shop that does track cars that do good times).
The next step for me is to increase grip + feel even more, next set of rims I'm thinking of are 8" wide (can't run narrower due to tyre size I want to run), I'll finally swap in the 2.1 turn to turn RS steering rack and maybe replace the Momo with a Nardi 33cm deep corn.

Would be interesting to drive a Brembo-123 and a non-Brembo 123 back to back and see what the difference is. Certainly on track I would image the Brembos would stand up much better to abuse.

They are awesome for the old brake boosting too!

Its like night and day. I have the Brembos on my Evo and it pulls up hard repeatedly.
They are awesome for the old brake boosting too!
Might have to get you to take me for a spin one day!

The Brembos have a bit more bite to them IMO and are a bit lighter.

Yes my old GSR had the GTO calipers on it.
The Brembos have a bit more bite to them IMO and are a bit lighter.
Thanks for the feedback. I guess the benefit of the GTOs is that you still run 4 stud wheels (if thats what you prefer).
