Based on the information you've provided us - I don't know

What sort of investigating did you do to come to that conclusion?

Brief description is brief.

Hard to help based on that info....

If you have other's nearby with the parts you suspect are fucked try swapping one thing out at a time?

Thanks guys, so i was driving the other day and it stalled it will crank over but i thought it wasnt getting fuel so got it home did a bit of research on this site to give me an idea where to start. So firstly i popped the line to the injection rail off to see if i had fuel and no deal while turning it over and i couldnt hear the fuel pump so after a bit more reading popped the relay and larger gold relay unit out from under the cd player and changed them to no prevail, so more reading i started checking the plug for the larger relay unit and bridged the fuel pump wore (black with blue trace) to constant power and it pumped not a problem popped that hose off the injection rail and popped a bottle over the end to confirm i had fuel at the motor i then checked the white wire with the red trace which i read was a the trigger feed for the fuel pump from the ecu with a multimeter while turning over the ignition and no register. I hope this helps and i thank everyone on ths page for their work and the wealth of information on this site

Sounds like you have it all sussed out already...as I said..find someone local and borrow an ecu to eliminate if it is your ecu or not?

if you hot the pump and leave the gold realy in to turn on ecu will it start?

do you have +12v on the red wire on the afm in the engine bay with the key turned to on?

do you have +12v to the injectors (they're neg switched so should have +12v) and so should the power tr unit.
do you have +12v at pins on pins 8, 12 and 20 on the ecu (both solid red wires stacked ontop of eachether for pins 12 and 20) and red/white for pin 8

if not i would say there's a fault stopping the ecu switching on at all. as the crank signal does not interact with the ecu

Thanks @leadfoot did the checks you described and

power at the afm
No power at the connection just before the power tr unit
And power at pin 8,12 and 20

So any help from here ???

you have no spark. the power tr unit is the ignitor for the coils

the issue could either be in the cas (crank angle sensor) if the ecu doesn't get a signal from this it would not send one to the tr unit.

i'd be investigating the group of wires associated with the tr unit the tr unit itself and the cas.

do you have noid lights? if so pop an injector connector off and get a mate to crank the car (this will tell you if you have injector pulse and will rule out cas as an issue

if you hot wire the pump so it runs constant (regardless of the gold relay) and leave the gold relay plugged in (so the ecu turns on) and crank it will it start?

Incase you couldnt figure it out from my post which was quite clear a noid light is a tool that connects to the injector harness in place of the injector and flashes whenever the injector is supposed to have fired it help you doagnose a bad injector or bad injector harness or injector trigger. They can be used to test any number of fast acting solenoid circuits and injectors because an injector is just a specialised solenoid thus the name noid light.

Theyre a specialized tool because test lights and most multi meter cant react quick enough to give a reading. But realy they are mostly just an led in a special housing so that you dont get the polarity mixed up assuming the car was wired to industry standards.

So as for an update. Purchased a second ecu from a fellow 4gtuner user and now it will start but have no tacho or temp gauge, i did notice some of the stickers on the two ecus were different but the part numbers were the same so hmm. Are there any fuses that connect these two ? Or could it be a bad plug connection even ?

Possibly is just a bad connection, did ya remember to screw the earth rings down with the ecu mounting bolt?
