Can anyone shed some light on this vin and rego.

6T9REPV97R301X006

SDB 481

WHITE EVO 2 RS

The car has ended up in WA....the guy bought it a while back and is trying to get it registered as we rego REP numbers here in Wa.   BUT it comes up as no records found ...so I'm thinking cancelled vin.

Can some one in VIC that is a bit more savvy with the rules over do a search please?

Do a PPSR check on the VIN ($3.40) or ring Vicroads.

What about the original vin number?

Wouldn't be recognised in Australia.

Perhaps it's a car that failed to be presented for the "Recall"?

Doing a 'VRE' with the correct details should still tell you if the rego has been cancelled or not

Vicroads will have both new and old VIN.

Give them the new VIN, if they say it doesn't exist then ask them to check what the new assigned VIN was for the original VIN as it may have been stamped incorrectly.
