I have a 1g bare sonata cylinder head for sale. Reason for sale is ive returned to a factory turbo RVR head as this was a temporary measure till i could find one. Head is in excellent condition. Was tested and serviced at Wynnum Engine Reconditioners prior to putting on the rvr, had been decked, tested and cleaned and given a very good thumbs up to go on the car, and hasnt skipped a beat in the ~1000km of use i got out of it. My potato camera makes the water jackets look worse than they are, and even then only 2 are showing any signs of rot. I only took a head scraper to it so further cleaning would see it look even better.  I got it from a sonata at work, and while it looks like its been reconditioned very recently with a recon stamp on the side, being a wrecker theres no papers so treat it as second hand. Has seen 14psi boot with no worries. Has since been stripped down, and prepped for storage with all contact surfaces cleaned, inspected, oiled and wrapped if its fate is a shelf as a spare for your convenience. Since i used everything from my old RVR head to ensure it would be fine to run in it, it will come bare. Springs/valves etc are left in, but cams/gears/tappets/CAS housing etc have been taken off as a spare for my RVR. Will obviously come with cam caps. I have the original black rocker cover to go with it if need be.

Im located in brisbane and would prefer a local sale because im lazy and cbf shipping it. If it gets no local bites i will consider shipping interstate. **open to offers** can provide higher res pics upon request.

Should include the intake manifold if you have it. The ports are bigger than evo, but smaller than vr4. They can be ported to match a vr4 intake though.

I didnt bother to get that far, i ran it with the RVR manifold at the time with no issues. Its still on the car at work, so could be available for a little extra if one were inclined.

I wouldn't recommend putting it on an evo/rvr though it was way too much effort in the end to make it all happen and would have chosen differently had i known the extent of it at the start. Not sure about the VR4s but it has less jackets than an RVR head, different thermostat setup and being 1g would need a modified bypass to suit turbo as you well know you have the one i used! haha

Has it got standard valve springs or are they different to suit turbo?
