Gday looking for advice about my clutch situation . i have installed a new clutch master cylinder and slave , i can select all gear when car is turned off but when its on theres no chance .

my clutch at the moment is very weak and barely depressed . was totally locked by slave prior

firewall is flexing hard and needs work as they do.

new clutch line was replaced also .

this car has been stored for many years so I'm assuming the plates have matted together from cold and being unused

Should i try starting in gear to release the clutch plate ?

brake pedal is hard with no action also . thanks in advance

Are you getting full travel of the clutch fork? I think its not bled properly.

You can try starting it in gear. Probably won't free the clutch if you don't have a good pedal.
Also, if it starts it sounds like you have SFA brakes to stop it
