Who does everyone recommend in brisbane to throw a haltech in and tune it around brisbane? Ive spoken to next up and tbh he doesnt seem interested and half way through a conversation stopped replying. Rather give my business to someone a little more willing and friendly. Id prefer to 4wd dyno but i wouldnt completely rule out trying a 2wd if i have to.

Not looking to spend a squillion dollars on a big custom tune at this stage as im halfway through mods, just something to get it running and a little more pep with the 20g and COP kit etc while im upgrading it.

Depending on how long the conversation went i'd say he probably put you into the " this clown is wasting my time" basket.

You would be surprised how many messages these guys get on a daily basis from dreamers.

You would be better off either phoning them first then actually visiting a couple of workshops so that they can see that you are genuine at least.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

No idea. i asked 2 questions - what was his hourly dyno fee and how familiar he is with early 4gs and haltechs, seemed to get a little offended i didnt know he charged by the job not by the hour, and said hes not sure if he can work with such an old haltech. he asked me if i needed a retune or touch up, i explained im going from stock to stand alone and what the intent was for the tune. Then radio silence.

If he doesnt give a fuck about me he probably wont give a fuck about my car etc. Just like to avoid people like that for people who are a little easier to deal with.

Hi Taz, we send some of our awd's down to Jon for tuning and we don't have any problems with him. If you did want to use him for your tune I'd be happy to make enquiries for you from our shop (Sideways Motorsports). Otherwise we have a couple of other tuners we use too, send me a pm with info about your car/motor/ecu setup etc and I can potentially organise or recommend something for you. Shop is in Rocklea btw if you interested in swinging by
didn't have time do do it right but found the time to do it twice....

Usually being busy is a good sign that they do quality work.....

John’s a top guy and they are always crazy busy over there. He has plenty of experience with 4g’s. Back in the day he did the tuning on my vr4 with haltech, and has put a tune on the factory airtrek Ecu for my current ride. He has just had a child born recently as well, so I can understand if he is a little short. But can recommend.
I like cats, but i dont think i could eat a whole one.

Brought my Haltech through a fella who had his car at NextUp. Bailed the boys up for 10mins n talked shit and asked questions. 100% be going there for a tune.
