Good Afternoon All,

I tried searching for answers but I just don't know how to describe it exactly - I have a CC GSR with a 4G63 conversion the H Pattern shifter is all pushed to the right... e.g. 1st is where 3rd is normally and 5th is way to the right alot more then usual. It goes into gear all good just really weird how everything is pushed to the right.

Anyone experience this before? Thanks in advance.

I had it in an Audi TT, there was a bushing in the shifter assembly that had disintegrated and made it that loose it was basically one position out lol.

The lancer shifter are bad for the bushings doing the same thing, check that first.

Usually once the bushings in shifter fuck out its sloppy....like a cock in a sock.
You will easily know if that is the problem.

Do you have the right length cables in there? If the side to side cable is too short or long that can cause your issue I'd imagine?

Not likely if it still selects all of the gears like he says it does ^

Im going with one or more of the bushes being shagged like Ian suggests.

Or perhaps the linkage bracket on the gearbox bent?

Ok the shifter bushings look to be ok - I did something i'm not too sure if it's normal play - on the gearbox itself where the cables hook up to - there is that shaft that goes straight into the gearbox - I can lift that up and down quite freely and this is the slack that in the shifter itself

How freely? It's meant to be spring loaded and return to centre. Not a tight spring but still tension none the less. If that's ok then possibly the spring in your shifter cradle is shagged or not in correctly?

Ive had the cable retaining brackets on the gearbox bent or different from other cars before and its done the same thing. Pushed it all the way over to one side.
