hey guys, anyone attempted a custom loom?
Currently gathering info and resources to build one for the CC (CE9A engine bay).
Any tips/advice/places to get cheap parts etc?
Thanks!

im running speed density, wide band, want to get a new/clean fuse&relay box, etc. Will be easier to make a new loom i reckon. Want to go Mil-spec for easy disconnect at the firewall.
Can get the firewall bulkhead and adapt it to your current loom. They arent that expensive really.
Here is the one ive brought

Currently in the middle of my DIY attempt. Can find the latest photo of my built thread. Cheapest place for almost everything ive found is http://www.motorspor....au/online-shop
Also for the fuse box the cleanest one Ive seen is a Bussman jobbie

4G63t Satria. Should be good.... ish.
My suggestion would be to get Gary to supply and wire in one of his 12 channel Power Distribution Modules. It would eliminate the need for fuses and relays etc and make your wiring job so much neater.
Whilst the initial purchase price might be a bit daunting - I can guarantee that by the time you buy relay mounting blocks, fuse holders, fuses, relays and start wiring it all in, you'll have wound up spending almost as much as what you would have been charged by a professional to put one of these 12 channel modules in.
Gary would also be able to supply you with all the bits and pieces you'd need if you were still wanting to do the job yourself and they are quality items.
Cannot recommend enough that you should give him a call.

Shayne is a baller. Money is no object! Look at the quality of his build!
I would want one of those.... One day..

So Alex what did you decide to do with your harness on DIY anyway?
A bit of a thread revival but i put this on hold for a few months, back into it now. Collecting relevant components to do the job. Going for a DIY loom install. Gotta live up to the number plate!
On the precipice of getting mine running with the custom engine loom and fuse panel.
Now ive almost completed it my one word of advice is.... bench test and triple check pinouts before you heatshrink it, then test again. If your unsure test it again! ive pulled mine out 3 times now because i was to cheap to buy a decent multimeter in the first instance.
