So further investigation has me believing that it's a rod bearing.

Anyone know what the best coarse of action would be hence forth? Pricing?

Anyone got an engine if the case is a rebuild?

Ill have a rebuilt motor soon in Brisbane. Have a few people already asking though. Will be 3.5k on exchange basis. Starting the rebuild next week so if it's presold can take custom order for extra. (Studs, rod bolts etc)

How bad and did you catch it before it fucked shit up? I have pulled the sump and balance shafts from a Mazda and changed bearings in the car. The crank had no marks. 30k later all good.
GSR Lancer- JE-73-VO, 11.701@125mph, 1.79 60" and getting faster. No:3 conrod now orbiting the moon.
