I'm just wondering if anyone knows someone who has actually auto swapped a GSR? I'm just looking for confirmation that it has been done, as I don't really want to be pioneering/making-it-up-as-I-go-along.

Just things like can I keep the 1.8, what rear diff is used, and if any custom fab work is needed. I've read everything I can find on here regarding the swap, but haven't come across anyone who has actually done the swap and kept the AWD (I know of a few FF swapped autos).

Yes I have seen it done. As for the particulars I couldn't tell you. I'd imagine that the box, diff and transfer would all Bolt in. And the you would need to sort out the TC.

You will need to use the auto from passenger axle as it sits furtehr from the block i believe ( at least it does on a 6 bolt.

Look up Tuan Tran on Facebook. He is running an auto setup in his GSR.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.
