Hi all, my rvr hsgr’s clutch is slipping at above 3000rpm thru out 1st-5th gears after putting in new clutch/flywheel. Originally has hks twin plate clutch kit, now it has been change to oem evo 3 flywheel, exedy clutch disc, pressure plate, new throw out bearing, and stock fork.
During securing the two bolts for the clutch slave cylinder, I notice the pushrod is already pressing hard on the clutch fork pressing the throw out bearing against the clutch pressure plate fingers. I had to some how jam it in, and secure the 2 bolts slowly for the clutch slave cylinder. Basically there’s no play between TB and pressure plate fingers.
From the above, could it be the incorrect clutch slave cylinder is used (longer pushrod) as in this will result in not enough clamping strength on the clutch disc? This clutch slave cylinder was used on a twin plate clutch kit, so not sure is there different rod lengths apply here for both aftermarket and oem clutches.
There is no oil contamination on the clutch disc, and slight surface rust on the oem flywheel. Not sure will shorten the pushrod can resolve the issue.
