Hey guys,
I am slowly piecing my car back together after a very long time. I'm looking for people's experiences with aftermarket exhaust manifolds. I am running a Gt3076r on a cheap Chinese manifold, that served it purpose but if course it has cracked. I tried to convince the Fab guy at work to remake it, but he is not entirely sure that he wants to (even with some palm grease) which is fair enough. We help each other out where possible but this is quite the ask. So what I am after is options for t3 flanges manifold with Tial 38mm 2-bolt wastegate. I will Fab up the dump to suit whatever is needed. I have been poking around and the options look to be 6boost or JMF, however they 1kΒ± and then freight on top of that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Is the manifold braced? It wouldn’t eliminate the chance of it cracking but if it was supported off the block or if the turbo was supported off the block at least it wouldn’t be heat and weight that would crack it, only the heat cycles.

I have a cheap stainless mani which has lasted pretty well and I think that it is because I have a bracket from the turbo to the block so that the turbo and exhaust aren’t hanging off the mani.

No it's not braced. I have seen similar looking manifolds for sale with bracing. Maybe I will try one of those, wrap it and do the new dump to suit. I can get one done $1500 custom but it's not like I am the first person to go a t3 based turbo.

Do you have a link to the manifold you have Ian?

I bought an FP manifold. A couple of people on instagram said theirs rusts though, so I had it heat coated.

They dont make them in T3, which he states that his turbo is.

Yeah I saw that one Jay. My concern is where that WG position is. 6boost does one but I'm not sure in a 38mm WG. Which 38mm has done everything I need and can regulate boost from 12psi to 26psi so far.

Surely 6boost will make up a 38mm WG version for you, if not modify one they have on the shelf to suit?

Quick question guys. So I have a 0.63 rear housing single port, would it matter if I were go a split pulse t3 manifold will it matter?

No it won't matter.

You could mix and match a twin scroll turbine housing with a single exit exhaust manifold or vice-versa, but you would not be seeing the benefits you would gain from matching a twin scroll turbine housing with a split pulse exit exhaust manifold.
