So it seems I should have been collecting transmission parts before engine parts, because you just can't get them anymore. I am trying to come up with a recipe for a gearbox and transfer case that will hold together behind a 500whp 94mm stroker. I am not going to race the car, I just like ridiculous power.
Box I'll be using is a standard VR4 w5m33. I have a new evo 3 input and first stashed away. Other things I was thinking of was a 4 spider center diff, a billet main bearing plate to stop the box flexing and killing 4th, and a 300m output shaft. For the transfer I am going to fit a Magnus billet cover to stop it flexing.
Do I need all of these bits? I definitely want this stuff to hold together, but I do not want to waste money on things I only need if I'm trying for 9s at the track.
