hoping someone can enlighten me about what bits and pieces that i need to acquire to swap from drums to discs on the old jumbuck uterus

It would be all custom to suit. The cart axle has a end plate with 4 bolts. I don't know of any bits that would go onto that, or the stub axle.
So maybe GTI if they had rear discs, and some machining to make it fit

cheers Jack.. i had anticipated that there'd be some customisation required.
i was thinking GTI rear discs may have been the way to go

I think it would be all custom. Just using proton bits would keep it in the same family.
Everything from handbrake cables being custom to the stub axles and caliper mounts. Then proton bits bolted on.
Other than the looks, wouldn't be much benefit. I have redrilled my drums to be 5x114. I do like the adjustable proportioning valve that the rear axle has, it puts more brakes to the rear when loaded, and blocks some pressure when it's got no load. This is worthwhile and effective
