It helps to protect your car though I guess

j pipe, anyone know if this would be the over manifold style or just an extension/ enlargement of the oem pipe? im not sure what 2g dsm and all that means :/

It is not a over the top pipe as it bends too far around.
1g is vr4 or evo 0, 6 bolt.
2g is evo 1-3 style, 7 bolt
3G is evo 4-9.

But it's only engines, the piping will be different to suit the different bodies.
