Is the head being manually ported ie by hand?

 

I thought CNC would be the way to go. Precise matching of each port.

CNC would be nice mate but doesn't fit my budget.

 

its being measured in about 5 places in the port to keep the area the same. should be good enough and a massive improvement from last

time. My kelford 268 exhaust cam arrived as well which gives a little more lift and duration.

 

Hopefully it will breathe a touch better

also started to hack up my already hacked hinges, they will also be modified so the door can be removed by just taking out a pin

Did you paint the inside or outside of the lexan?

shes no show and shine machine mate

 

I did the outside because the lexan rubs on the frame on the inside and the paint would rub off

Doug, you said you wanted more out of your 259. I think I remember you running the twin scroll 76 housing. They make a 85 housing. Only .9 bigger but may give you what you're looking for. I have both but haven't chopped the front yet to fit a twin scroll setup. That and a machined s cover to accept the 62mm compressor.

that was my thinking also, larger turbine housing with the bigger comp wheel.

 

Im chasing another 50-70hp on the same boost, and a bit more on higher boost

ATI balancer has arrived, my old one was looking a bit shitting so now is the right time.

 

clevites have all arrived and been measured up also

How much does the balancer weigh George?

Are they liquid filled?

crank has had a smooth over and bearing clearances are set, now for hours of work on the block again lol

I have also ordered a larger comp wheel, I bought a cast one that was cheap to make sure I can have it machined ok

to suit.

Billet comp wheel 

Is it a GTX or other?

other, the wheel I have purchased is for the 300 series BW turbo which is the next size up.

I have heard it will fit but don't want to commit to a billet until im 100% sure

Im going from a 59.5mm to a 63mm comp wheel and the turbine is a 64mm already

should work ok

yep, exhaust is already bigger so want to bring the intake side into line with it.

I really need to sort the intercooler out as well as I'm thinking its my biggest restriction

new rear sway bar mounts, the old ones were cut of ages ago to save weight, these new ones
will allow a tube/blade setup in the future once some base data is gathered to see what will work

it should improve low speed turn in
