It has fittings for a cooler already, but even then I don't think it will last, I can run a lot more boost/power/torque so it would never be a long term solution.

You at least built it strong enough with the OEM internals to have a good go at it, but now that its given way you know its time to move onto a doggy.

It sure would piss you off because you knew you were competitive and were still setting the car up.
The car seemed very quick and nimble around the corners which is a testament to the weight reduction and suspension setup.
Unfortunately when making over 300kw+ atw with the oem box, when you put 4th gear under serious cornering load like that it'll strip the teeth.
Happens to tarmac rally cars often and also on dynos under load in 4th gear. They seem to handle straight lines down the drag strip though where the load isn't as bad (depending on power).

Rob, you don't tend to strip them at the drags because of the lack of heat build up that you get on a road course.
George, have you also considered the gears that Mattius in Geemany has made? He now does a 3rd and 4th gear conversion with a brand new gear on the centre diff!

I have considered that, but in the long run I think a dog box is the only way or I will continue to be patching and spending heaps anyway, then also the extra advantage of faster shifts
