Yep, stripped the teeth of 4th gear and 4th intermediate, the carnage fell into the front diff crownwheel, got caught up between the front diff crownwheel teeth and the casing, then "BANG" air-conditioned bellhousing.
Interesting how the bearing on the output pinion got damaged?
At least your centre diff and front diff came out of it intact - that's a blessing in itself because theyre not cheap to replace

I'm down for a pineapple if the donations go ahead. More than happy to give back to someone who has given so much to the community.

Two words and George will have his GearBox issues sorted........ Baby Bonus  He will not only get the $$$ for the dog-box, but he'll have alot of fun in the process of obtaining the funds and it will be a car related activity that will actually bring him CLOSER to his wife. How many of us can say that what we do with our cars enhances our relationship with our better half? Better get a wiggle on though mate - I've heard it won't be around for too much longer.

Another negative to that idea is that they pay you in fortnightly installments now ..not in a lump sum.
Fuckwits going out and buying flat screen TVs instead of baby stuff ruined that for everyone.

George seeing as you're up for rebuilding & going dog gears, I'll throw in another mod
you might like for extra legs in each gear & sometimes not need 5th while racing.
3.307 rear diff, 1.090t/c that you're running & a custom 3.6 front crown & pinion that
I can get made for you. Same as a VR4 auto. Underdriven by 0.007 at the rear.
3.307 rear diff, Evo 1.074t/c & a custom 3.55 front. Only out by 0.001. RVR auto gearing.
The VR4 auto gearing with a non welded centre diff is less understeery being 0.007 under.
Final drives
Evo 1/2 - 5.443
Evo 3 - 5.358
GSR - 4.9333
4.5931 VR4 Auto inside a manual
If I was a manual man, I'd use VR4 auto ratio for the fuel ecconomy.
Cheers

well if its any consolation George, just as well it went before judgement day. Imagine putting all the effort in and head to the creek, then to find out u bust the box after 4 laps...??
i blew the engine in mine after 2 laps at a trackday once and i was not happy!

Yeah, I can imagine how people would get shitty that they receive free money in installments instead of free money as a lump sum!
