I thought they were only for the auto transfer case. That's what I was told as I'm waiting on a diff cover and valve cover from frontline

 

could you please take a heap of pics of the inside of the rocker cover for me before you fit it.

 

I have asked for pics of the baffles a few times and im wondering if they have any at all?

 

also the weight too :P

 

That's the Magnus plate looks to stick out abit as well...

Damn... chunky!

baffles are 100 percent required.
I removed my baffles and even with the breather fitting located higher than normal I would lose heaps of oil.

I put the baffle back on and the problem went away...

yes baffles are a must, even the stock ones can be improved on.

You could probably get away with no baffles if you used a catch can that drained back to the sump...

did a few things today, pulled the steering rack to change to the evo 4 one. I will swap the steering arms over from the 2 rack.

We will also fit some solid alloy bushes as the 2 rack was solid mounted.

also fitted a new wheel and tyre on the back, the good thing is that's the new ones are only 600 grams heavier which is better than I was expecting.

yep, quicker ratio, unfortunately it is a bit heavier though :( but I think the extra speed in the rack will really help

at tighter tracks like winton as I will need to turn the wheel less on the tighter corners.

 

Also a rear sway bar will be fitted (I currently don't run one at all) and we will work on finding the right size to make the rear end work better.

Be interested in what you decide on for rear bar George. We are seriously considering having a go with one to see the effect. I'm finding it difficult to get the back of the car to do what I want, without having to compromise up the front.

The car is ok with out one but lacks response on change of direction and low speed corners, we will try a few and see I guess, I have a feeling it will turn into a tail out machine lol
