Niiiiice intake and bootlid George :)
I picked up my sister and her family from Newcastle Airport yesterday after they flew in from Brisbane (they live on the Sunshine Coast).
When they got here it was in the high 30 degree temps and they complained that it was much hotter and dryer here than being up there in QLD! lol
But 43 degrees!! fark working in a shed in that kind of temp. Close all the doors and windows in the house, turn on the aircon and lay down on the tile floor!! lol
AWD. 2 Litre. GTX3076R 0.82.
330kw atw @ 28psi 98 pump fuel.
372kw atw @ 28psi E85 Flexfuel.

I havent and wont be bolting it to the hinges so Im not sure how it will sit.
The main thing I dont like is the lower section under the lights and garnish is really rough.
Its just fibreglass and would be fine with some filler and paint, but its far from perfect.
The top part is not bad though

5mm alloy plate, it still has the original seal in there as well, I will be selling that soon

Ryan, I'll be in touch, I think I can spare the carrier now, mine in the tank was good so we should be right to go.

Been doing some more cutting too, mostly removing the rear firewall completely.

it will have a flat floor in the boot because it will also have a rear diffuser that would have hit the spare wheel well.
The rear firewall doesnt do much as the cage holds it all together anyway.
I still have a lot of captive nuts and other stuff to cut out, I also started to gut the front doors too.

Realisticly I think I may get about 50-60kgs more out of it compared to last build, so with a few more kw's
as well it should go ok.

Main priority is to get the aero and handling right before power.

Well a bit of serious door work went on today, along with more removal of captive nuts and plates.
Its amazing what you can cut out when you really sit down and look at at.

no welding, they are still functional, the outer handles and locks will still be
there and working.
I may need to reinforce them a touch but I dont think it will be a problem, they arent there to offer me any level of safety
so I want them as butchered as possible.

What are you doing for windows? i'm assuming the standard ones arn't going back in?
