I will now have lexan in all windows except for the front screen which will be heated.
We will be doing some tricky stuff with the side and rear windows to reduce the drag
on the side of the car.
Depending on how it goes in testing I am aiming for evonats at wakefield and if its
really fast I may make an appearance at WTA again.
Baz, Im blowing up like a baloon mate, hence the extreme weight reduction on the car.
Next step is me loosing a bit of weight.

I though I should put the to good use if they are there so they will be used as rain lights.
Dave, I am now an expert at removing weight from these cars, I spent about 8 hours today scraping shit off the underside of the car
for a total weight loss of about 3kgs! It takes a lot of commitment to get the most weight out possible.

Really getting desperate for the grams now.
Heavy trimming of the gear shifter plate....the plate is very thick so
some good savings there
Rear seat belt bolt brackets, a massive amount of work to get these out in one piece, approx 25 spot welds per plate
Removal and trimming of the surround at the bottom of the steering column.
It has been refitted with alloy bolts too.
Even went has far as drilling a few holes in the height adjuster for the column
(even though they are a bit crooked)
We then got on to any uneccessary weight on the rear panels
Lower sections of the rear 1/4 panels and beaver panel are gone.
And now we have begun on the front, going to remove the upper and lower parts of the radiator support panel and replace them with thin chrome moly tube.

Martin Griggs got his EVO3 down to about 700kg by basically turning it into an open wheeler buggy....

I am keeping it within the rules for WTA just incase it is fast enough.
So that means no chassis rail mods at all.

With the factory EVO V rims I can't go any wider than a 215 Dunlop semi slick.
Are you going to cut out the rear guards and mount fibreglass flares?

of the metal guards(with a lot of cutting) or flares. I have flares but they wont cover the front of the wheel
how I would like so Im looking at different options at the moment.
The front will need some work too.
