Welding the centre isn't really difficult, but u will have to pull box http://meek.com.au/e...p-coupling.html. This is the same I've done a few of.
GSR Lancer- JE-73-VO, 11.701@125mph, 1.79 60" and getting faster. No:3 conrod now orbiting the moon.

Better do something with the transfer case too. It wont last long as a rwd

 

Yeah, if going to run constant, or long periods of time, that would be looked at ... At the moment, I just want the car tuned and back in my garage...

Your centre diff will still explode with that thing installed.
Much better off either welding a centre diff up or just forget rwd!

Forget rwd, or do it properly with a solid rear axle and a n/s engine. Will break less bits that way.

Hmmm ... OK so some more thinking/investigating will be done there...

 

On to other things as well, picked up a bargain with some pink tail lights on ebay ...

Dyno'd today...

249kw.. Has a shitload of torque to boot..

Starts to spool up at 4k, and biost was holding constant pretty much to redline. At 20psi, it dropped to about 18.5psi at redline..

Mixed fuel.. Mostly was E85.

Stopped at 20psi as I was going for efficiency.

Could go higher, but will have more of a bell curve.. Cycle of the injectors was at around 50%.. So more give there.. But yeah, staying low boost so I don't break stuff.. Want it to be a reliable daily.. Not a dyno queen, I guess...

Turbo cars and efficiency dont really ring true...do they?
I can understand the reliability side of things..but if its not a daily why not wind it up a bit?
In saying that though...249kw is still pretty quick on the street with the weight of the car.

Will be using this thing to go to and from work.. Want to enjoy her.. And actually get some use from her.. Which is why I have fixed all the ADR defects..
