Ohh ... I also took some more pics of the car in daylight....
Here is what the colour really looks like... Well you can't see all the glitter, but here goes...
I may keep it this colour but just de-glitter it....

Yeah, I must admit it is growing on me ...
Will see how hard it is going to be to colour match, as the car has a few dents and things that need to be fixed up ...

I know.. How funny ...
If I was going to be pulled over by the cops for being over weight in carrying a car, I was going to say, what car, it is a box trailer ...

And some photo's of underneath. It has had a few more hits then Elvis, but the rails and everything are straight. So this is not going to be a full on show car, so it will go back to working order.

Not much to update at the moment...
Have picked up some new parts from Meek ... Thanks for being such a great help so far guys...
And the coil overs from the Sonata bolted in ... Little bit of modding, but, all in and my rims went on to match ... Which is good cause, 1 - Those rims with tyres set me back a shit load, 2 - So did the coil overs, and they were a pretty nice ride ...
By the end of this week, the engine should be in, and maybe by the end of next week the wiring should be done ... Well lets hope anyway ... I am dreading the bill ....

OK .. Well about of trouble/confusion with the engine mounts... But new brakes and stuff have been installed... Most of the trim has been stripped for the installation of the AVC-R, EMS ECU, and the gauges and stuff...
No real big purchases yet, well except for my nice new 272 cams  ....
Picked up a new fuel tank and just some other general stuff... Got the genuine Evo 3 bar, and am waiting for some prices on the Evo 3 skirts... So will see how it all goes...

Hehehe ... Got the genuine guards, plus the amber indicators in the guards... Got the Evo III bar reinforcement too ...
I have also picked up the electronic arial, which I hope to mount ... Instead of the GSR one above the drivers window...

Picked up the skirts on Thursday, called into the mechanics to pick up the gearbox, but there was not much change in the cars status...
Tried to mount the front reo (for the bumper) but discovered one of the headlights was broken at the clips and not sitting in right... So I had to get a new one, so we could see if the reo was any good...
Anyway, left the mechanics, at about 10ish.. Did some work, picked up the parts from Meek, and flew back to the mechanics just to get back there as they were closing up ...
Engine, box and driveline..... All in .... .. 272 cams also installed...
I tell ya, there is not much room in these engine bay's ... The sonata had a lot more clearance... But you get that... The External wastegate needs to be mounted differently, and that is about as bad as it got... But it is easy enough just to cut a section of the manifold, and put a different bend on it, and she will have no problems...
The manifold is a little closer to the radiator in the Lancer, but the evo vents are just beside it ... So that should keep the heat down ... We haven't yet measured up for the radiator, but with the new light, all the front bar reo, and the Evo bar, we should be able to throw it all together and go from there....
Still not sure how long it is going to take, but all the ECU still needs to be wired, cooler piping sorted, fix the manifold, mount the exhaust... blah blah blah ... But we will see how it goes...

OK ... Called in and took some pics last night ... Not much to really report, but here are some happy snaps ...
Intercooler + piping
Manifold & radiator: -
It is a bit of a tight fit, and the manifold needs to be slightly altered so the external wastegate can fit in.
Drivetrain in: -
And the T&P coilovers: -
With upgraded twin spot caliper, and new slotted discs.
And the car on the hoist with its new shoes: -
Still a long way to go But at least she is getting there ... [/img]

Hehehe ... Yeah, I know ... It will be the first AWD I have driven, so I am really itching to get it on the road...
I went for a spin in Chris's (Meek automotive) GSR/Evo III, and was excited... But can imagine that being in my own is going to be a different kind of a rush ...
I will prolly take it down the track before I put all the stereo back in, so I can see what time she will get while still pretty light... But we will see how it goes....

is it legal to cut away under the battery tray ? i thought that effects 'engineering' of the vehicle..
other then that.. i love the look of it.. and how its coming along.. will be great once its done.
