is it legal to cut away under the battery tray ? i thought that effects 'engineering' of the vehicle..
Jon
Ummm ... Not sure ... I think it is legal, as the battery has been moved to the boot ... I guess I will find out when I go to get it engineered tho ...
other then that.. i love the look of it.. and how its coming along.. will be great once its done.
It is coming along a little slower then I thought it would. But, I want to make sure that it is not rushed and is done right the first time. There is still all the wiring, and modifications needed on the manifold to get the wastegate to fit, and a whole lot of little things... So it will probably be on the road in Jan .... So will start the new year with a new car ...

And with the colour combo on the seat, it is matching my paint, and Momo stuff, so it looks like I wont have to worry about a re-trim....

what are the rotors you have on the front? where did you get them and how much? I am after some and yours look like just the ticket! I was told I was going to have to get some with a different spacing redrilled. PM me if you like. I have twin pot calipers just need new rotors and pads + lines.
Got rotors and brakes off the guys at meek... Can't remember how much they were tho ... I bought them with a flood load of parts, and all I can remember was that they were a great price.... Just give em a call, and ask what brand they were...

I can't wait to put em in ... Called in to see the progress on the car... Some wiring has been done... Injectors and coils are now all sorted, but still heaps to go ... The mechanics shut over Christmas/New Years... So this is the last week for them to do anything before they return in 2007 ... So don't think much more is going to be getting done on it ....

I will go to the workshop by the end of the week, to see if there is anymore progress, but I highly doubt it... So she will not be worked on again till the new year... Here are the Pics...

Yeah, the engine was up to 238kw @ the front wheels on the sonata.. But I have changed the cams now, and done a couple of little things, so it will be interesting to see what it pulls at all wheels.. the 238 was running 20psi and with the new mods and the car being AWD I should be able to wind it up a little more...
I am going to need a good pannel beater tho... One that will let me do some of the work to keep the cost down, cause the body is not in the best shape....

Will let you know as it all progresses.. Worse case scenario is I will just re-trim the back seat to match the front...

Car is slightly out of alignment... The guard on the drivers side is angled down a little, and it looks as if the pillar going to roof (over the drivers door) is a little out of whack also ... So the car will have to go onto an Auto-robot to ensure she is all back to the right shape...
The other bad news was that on NYE, my mechanic was up on his mates roof watching the fireworks... Umm long story short, he fell off, and broke both arms... So there has not really been any progress to speak of ..
He had pins put in 1 arm and is starting to move around again... So with any luck the car should start coming along again soon... I have been busy working on a Toyota Cressida project also... So the commodore is gone, and when the Lancer is on the road I will look at what I am going to do with the Cressida... Most likely a 2jz conversion... but will see how much cash I have left...

Once you lunch it could jerk back and snap a coil, happened to the CREATD lancer once. (unless you solid mount the engine)
Just sit them higher than the i/manifold
Other than that sweeeeeet! and keep us UTD
