New rims are on, also gave the calipers a fresh coat and the rusty old rotors a coat of black

Will get better pics later as these were taken when the sun was goin down, also i will use a camera and not my phone lol

Heres a few updates

King Prosport coilovers, just need to throw the front hats on




Picked up some EVO5 seats today




As soon as i got home, i decided to throw some cup holders in the rear arm rest, its a MUST with kids in the car




Also picked up some Ralliart rear diff mounts today




Also repalced the 19 year old belts that stopped retracting with seatbelts from a 2000 Proton

As some people may know my engine is making a loud knocking noise, so i decided to take the engine out for inspection, hoping its small as the car would only knock between 2-3k and was still drivable, still had compression and oil preasure

Ive minimised it to cyl #2, so either bearing or gudgeon pin, either way im gonna be getting a forged crank to be safe from the dreaded crankwalk

Or...... i can just say screw it and get a stroker kit

Engine ready to come out, plus while the engine is out i can finally replace the sway bar D bushes and steering rack bushing

Plus clean the engine bay and give parts a fresh coat of paint



Plus i noticed my Xfer case is still in awesome condition the 1 in the middle

Fukn Evo crankwalk!!! That side journal is foobar, no wonder the big end failed. Thats turned me off using OEM cranks when rebuilding Evo 7 bolt engines. You've gotten only 30,000kms use with an EVO 5 crank (that was fully test, microspolished and balanced. Magnafluxing would be useless for what happened). Youre also only using an Exedy Sports Tuff heavy duty cushion button clutch too (which is kind of heavy but not as heavy as others). Forged cranks for Evo 7 bolt engines from now on I wonder if your rod is still good, could be worth getting checked out.
