Not a fan of conversions like this at all; ok, a Honda engine slapped in a different Honda chassis is cool, but a Toyota engine calling a Honda home? Give me a break. Just like RB25s/CA18s now calling Truenos home.
And slapping a piston engine in an RX-7 just defeats the purpose of owning one.

Well, that's one way of looking at it, but here's another....
The RX-7 is a nice looking car, so whats wrong with putting an engine in there that is more reliable....
Best of both worlds.... RX-7 styling combined with a tough as nails turbo 4 or 6.
The rotary is a great engine, the sound, the endless revs (I still like them, even with the problems)... but do you know of one that hasn't required a rebuild?
Even the RX-8's with a new MSPRE (Multi Side Port Rotary Engine) are being recalled for loss of vacuum... if they don't pass the test, masda is installing a complete new engine.
Sex is not the answer......Sex is the question....YES is the answer!!

Yeah, but that's the price you pay for a rotar. The very essence of it's individuality and recognition lies in the 13B's [sweet] note, you're taking away its identity when you change its powerplant to a piston bearing cousin.
