Hi guys,

Thought i'd round up some pics of my skid mobile!
Aus delivered 95 model Lancer GSR.
Comprehensive Chromoly Fia/Cams homologated roll cage
Sparco Evo & Rev seats, Sabelt 6 point Harnesses.
DMS 50mm coilovers
Motec ecu

Due to the stoopid rules :twisted: , standard turbo with 34mm grpA restrictor and standard interwarmer

Anyways its a good bit of fun.

I normally compete in the Victorian Club Rally Series and the Victorian Rally Championship with the highlight being doing our local round of the Australian Rally Championship, the Rally of Melbourne.

I rolled the car pretty good at the begining of 05 and havent quite managed to get back out there yet. $$$ spent on repairs, new house etc...

Plan is to be back on it for the 07 season with only a few minor repairs needed before some testing sessions.

I'm a driver 1st, not a mechanic so i appreciate the knowledge on this forum, i read and learn alot from you guys, so thanks for that and i welcome any further help that will keep me competing and to understand the car better.

What a dumb event to roll in hey! Was spose to just be for a bit o fun. I think we were close to winning before that though! Bloody mound of dirt covered in grass on inside of corner with NO caution called. Then after i did that they told everyone else about it. Oh well, the joys of running car 1 on the road! You get to be the guinea pig!

Its good karma, Total Tree Care looks after trees so we figure they'll look after us. Besides, its my business and while im putting in more $$$ than anyone else i may as well be the major sponsor. I have actually recouped about $25,000 in treework directly related to our exposure through motorsport, so i cant complain.

mmmmm....... i do like pacenotes, not enough of it in vic. A few of the vic guys have ran over there in previous years and done well.
Have to check out the rally calender.

Dude you would love it In one day you get to cover 100-150kms FLAT OUT :shock: without losing your license or getting your car impounded. Besides i reckon some of you guys spend more on your cars than a lot of us rally guys do :!: I dunno but for me its way more fun than the traffic light grand prix :!:

ay Trev where did you get all your panel work done? i used to work at a place called RACEFIX in mordialloc..saw lots of rally cars there etc..just wondering did yours ever go therE?

Nah i know RaceFix. A good friend through rallying did the repairs. He works from home but his garage is big as a factory anyway. He did it real cheap. A very good panel beater who can make a panel from scratch out of a piece of sheetmetal or do a cheap repair to an old bomb. The car wouldnt have been feasible to fix a any old panel shop. Better off to reshell, but then you have to build a new rollcage and the one it would cost about $6000 to redo.

I did end up removing a 120 foot dead tree for him in return.

ahh k thats pretty cool! did you ever race against Alan in his GTiR and Damian in the Libert Gt? next time there is a rally avent give a pm ive been dying to go to one for about 2 years now and my old boss kept promising her would take me..never happend lol

Allan as in Ashley Allen? Yep. And i competed against damien when we both had escorts and then not too long after i got the gsr he got the subaru Actually Ash used to have and escort befor the gtir as well.
The old Eskys were great fun too, way sideways :shock:
