Hey Guys,
Broke my rear drive shaft at the drags tonight
It snapped where it goes into the transfer case. Looks like the spline on the prop and in the transfer case have been damaged.
Anyone had this happen before and know about potential cost? I've a feeling I'm going to be poor

I Rob, I thought that you broke a front shaft (L/R), so it's the big middle drive shaft that goes to the read diff?
Is there any dammage to the transfer case? (That you can tell)
Where did it snap? shouldn't cost much if it just broke at the uni-joint and did no other damage.
Might help to post up some pic's
Good luck with it all mate.

yeh the uni joint where it goes into the transfer case is what snapped. I couldn't see any damage to the transfer other than the spline that comes out of it was snapped

It might be easier/cheaper to get a second hand front driveshaft.........

for reference it ended up being a $550 repair
broke the yoke, uni and seal. Took about a week to fix
ppl should probably consider stuff like this before upgrading to heavier clutches
