I was asked for a video of the car's idle so I thought I'd put it up here .. it's off my phone, so not very good quality, but you get the idea.

Yeah, the goold old GWR was a lot of fun back in the day .. I dunno if I'm getting old and more cautious but everytime I go out there, there's more and more cops on the road ruining the fun

The wiring to mine isn't standard .. it's mad bodgy in fact. There was a terminal that screwed into the front of the switch (which had snapped) - is that the normal configuration for these? It seems a bit shonky.
Anyway, did some performance testing with an 06 zx10r last night .. pretty happy with the result

should be a small philips head screw going through a flat blade connector

I pulled the alternator out on Saturday night and found of all the bolts holding the casing together, one was missing and the other three were all loose. With the front of the case moving around, the pulley was binding and not charging. It's an aftermarket OMX alternator (a bit under 12 months old I guess) - anyone seen a problem like that before?
While it's out I'll get the whole thing reco'd then fill everything with loctite before reassembly.
A couple of weeks ago Mick called me after changing a 3076 rear from a 0.82 to a 0.63. With the 0.82 the car was making 380hp atw on ~21 psi, and after changing to the 0.63 it was still making the same power .. however now it had 20psi at 4000rpm rather than 6psi with the 0.82. Between that and flogging my mate's 180 with the same turbo and a 0.63 rear, I decided to get myself one.
I wasn't going to fit it for a few weeks, but since the alternator had to come out anyway, I ripped all the turbo gear out at the same time, and I'll swap the housings on the turbo during the week. I don't mind if it makes a bit less power at the top - the extra midrange grunt should make it a faster car anyway.
It should all be back together by Saturday I guess.

the .63 housing is very good for the street.. i used that and kept on breaking driveshafts due to the power down low....
i'm now trying the .82 housing and it seems alot smoother but that was with a few other changes also... so it is hard to tell how much impact it did make..
when are you going to run the thing down the 1/4 again?
