So yeah, really trying not to go over 6.5 - 7k rpm ... the 272s probably arent even doing anything at that level lol ...

yeah, i wasnt really revving it out, im not sure when i drive it as the GSR dash tach redlines at 7.5k rpm, and i remember being told the auto VR4s (from where my engine came) redlines at 6.5k rpm.
So yeah, really trying not to go over 6.5 - 7k rpm ... the 272s probably arent even doing anything at that level lol ...
itll still have redling bout 7.5k im sure dan would of had to tweak it cos you would need to rev atleast 7k in every gear and hold onto 4th to cross the line at that sort of mph..
did you get the valve springs/retainers done when you had the cams put in?
have you had it on another dyno to see what it has laid down?

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Lol Jon! Ecmlink tells me I have around 320kw atw but I don't believe it!!
Well according to afew calculators.. if your car was 3200lb (~1450kg) to achieve an 11.6X your car would need to be making 400HP ATW. Which to me sounds about right for that sort of ET that your running and trap speed!
ive got upgraded springs/retainers also, the ffwd connection beehive spring kit, so you reckon it would be ok over 7500? not much obviously ....
its just something thats in the back of my mind always when i drive it
as stated before there is no difference between auto and manual and i see no problems with revving your car to 8000rpm too with that sort of 'head work' u have done!!!
it obviously depends when your car runs out of puff.. but due to the gearign ratio i would go to atleast 7500rpm in every gear so your crossing the line in 4th and not having to shift into 5th.
