getting there - some minor issues to rectify, but almost ready for tuning.

New headgasket and ARP studs are in, cams and cam gears are installed.

This week Barry - I still need to get some water lines sorted for the turbo.

Most other stuff is minor - heater hoses, bolts, random nuts etc etc.

I have to ring Dan too ...

Thats looks awesome Dan!!!!

Just one thing to note, not sure if you are aware, but the Greddy Type R valve, has an o-ring that seals the base of the valve. Its quite common for these to come out. It appears you are plumbing it back into the intake. I'd either run some mesh, or something in the pipe to prevent it from being sucked in, or remove the o-ring all together.

Haha yeah, ouch!

Plus it gives you a reason to pull it apart and give its hat a lick of paint in something more interesting than the silver it is now.

Thanks for the tip
I removed the o-ring and valve face has a perfect seal against the housing so all is good!

Cheers

Dan,

Spotted your beast at Springy Motors today too! It was a nice surprise. All looking very nice! Had a play with the loom with Dan and agreed that it'll be better under the manifold instead between the plenum section / lower runners.

You gonna get all the alloy polished or leave it as it is?

hey baz,

think ill leave it as is for now, and maybe get it coated sometime down the track. Loom will be better underneath the mani too I agree, only issue is the injector loom will have to come up over the top anyway which is a bit annoying, but im sure Dan-o will make it look pretty :P

Hopefully it will be all tuned and ready by the end of the week / early next week - Willy @ Tropic is busting to paint the car :D

Wiring all done (redo the engine loom to suit the AUS SPEC intake manifold)

Waiting for the injector to return from AUTRONIC. Richard from Autronic will be adding the SARD 800cc injectors on his AUTRONIC software.

This will make it idle and perform better.

we are indeed! Im sure it will be worth the wait though!!

Thanks Barry once again for the update!! :) :)

Those coolant lines for the turbo are around the wrong way - does that matter? I suspect its not a major issue - just a visual one at least... :P

Up and running A-OK - with some teething issues of course.

Hitting the dyno tomorrow morning first thing - apparently the idle is lumpy as thanks to the Kelford 272s :) :)
