Yeop... 260 kw on 20psi, so nearly 60kw gain on the same boost as I was running with the Big16g.... :)

pretty steep power curve - ~ 80kw atw at 4000rpm and up to 230kw atw by 4750-5000rpm :P
ill post the graph tomorrow.....

car is at Tropic motors now for some spray booth action!!

yeah, 25-26psi tune will be happening in the near future.... :) also considering a 50 shot of NOS contolled by the autronic but thats only on the drawing boards at this stage. Power delivery is very sudden, at 4000rpm its got about 80kw atw, and by 4750-5000rpm its all the way up at 220-230kw atw :P

Its already at Tropic motors for the paint job, so in 2-3 weeks itll be back in my garage (and pissing off the neighbours) !!

Still need some minor things, like a radiator overflow bottle, catch can etc etc.... Im getting the orange rocker cover changed too, it will have -8 fittings now and be finished in a new colour.

But its running!! The cams sound MEEEEEEEEEEAAAAN too :D:D

Should be right Baz surely? Its not running any more boost than it was before ... Dan said it sounded healthy as during the tuning too ...

Having said that, im sourcing parts to build a short block ASAP :P

cold start is a little shaky, but you get the idea of how the idle sounds towards the end!

Yep, you got a smile on your face now buddy. I also bet you're loving how the car vibrates and shakes with big cams in it and you've got your hands on the steering wheel acheing to give it a bootfull :) Is the zorst doing a good job in keeping it semi-quiet Dan or have those Kefords got you screwed? lol She's got a nice idle thats for sure and when dialled in will get even lumpier :)

Nup, that exhaust is doing a shit job of keeping things quiet :P

Agreed :)
I would think you'd be pissed Dan if it broke 2 months later after working on it for such a long time.

Meh, that would just be a perfect excuse to build a forged motor sooner than later  :w00t:

They always leave margin for error (a few degree's back / or a few psi back), but you never know how bad a bad batch of fuel can be. Plus without knock control or indication of any sort, your asking for trouble. At least get the new knock control unit from Autronic / Springy as it is still prototype but Dan and Richard are working on it.

Regardless, the stock cast pistons and rods are not designed to work this hard. It'll hold for now, but not for long imo. *knock wood*

How many km's does the motor have now Dan?

150-200kw is plenty for the street anyway. Race track is a different story!

Great choice of colour!

yep, im so glad i changed my mind and opted for this instead of the mazda velocity red.

should have stuck with my instincts from the start and it would have saved me some cash :fuuuuu:

Oh well.

just need to get some coilovers now, and some new front recaros, most like Profi SPGs, and then im done (for now) :w00t:

Oh, and a new steering wheel

nice color..

dan is that the spg recaro?

i missed the bidding on ebay for a black one..

2nd hand went for only 380.. fuck.

yeah, they retail for 1499 which is a joke. UK websites list them at about 403 pounds = 800 ish AUD.

I want 2 of them, and IIRC Dre was keen on some also - maybe we could get 5 (or 6 if you want 2 also) together and get a deal? ?
