What I dont like though however is the front lip, as it doesnt match the flow of the tiny stock side skirts. It really is a personal choice, BUT IF you had Evo3 sideskirts and pods it would flow much better. Having said that with just an Evo1/2 front bumper (without lip would suit it better)

Nah, I reckon E3 sideskirts and pods with an E2 front looks poxy ....

factory E2 spec FTW

I have to get some tires for the gramheavies stat <_<

Dre, you would be pleased to know I now have a bonnet stay :P

Where to next guys?

A) Shut up and enjoy it for a little while
B) Upgrade intake and exhaust mani (Hyperflow or NZ Performance intake, stainless steel tuned length ex mani)
C) NOS (50 shot - to spool the turbo faster)
D) E85 tune and more boost (25-27 psi)
E) Quit fucking around and build a forged short motor

A) :w00t::thumbsdown:
B) bang for buck on a stock bottom end it's not worth it at this stage:thumbsdown:
C) HELL YEAH:thumbsup:
D) Wait for "E" then yes(when you can get it at the pump then it's a viable option)
E) Why even ask:thumbsup: you should have started the build by now:rolleyes:

I reckon test the limits of the stock block- nos and E85

Ive been thinking about a twin plate clutch already - im not sure how many more 6500+rpm launches the 3 puk can handle

They look almost the same as the Chronos and Tarmacs! Dare to be different....not gay different....good different.

haha, yeah, I think theyd look pretty good on the car...

Sounds like he like aggressive rims, RE30s suit much later model cars a lot better.

Yep, I love the RE30s also, but they look heaps better on EVO 7 and up IMO.

Do they make those bad boyz in 15x7 LoL

Dont tell me NO! LoL

Dont think so Dave-o!! :P

got some new brake rotors over the weekend, thanks to Dougmo (again :P)

DBA 4000 slotted fronts and DBA slotted rears

I had to replace the CREATD spec slotted rotors because they have been toasted already (after 1 drag meet) - not happy.

Am also trying to work out what coilovers to get for the car, and while im still pretty keen on the DMS 50s, Barry has pointed me in the direction of these Hotbits, which also look pretty damn good (and are a bit cheaper)

here is the link -
http://www.hotbits.org/new/rsi.php

does anybody have any thoughts on these? Perhaps the best thing about them is that the service/rebuild centre is in Melbourne.

Parts come in from Malaysia but are custom built / serviced / warranted in AUS.

Check out the shop, it's only Cheltenham.

I've got some dyno graphs comparing evo4 DMS coilovers to the hotbits ones. The hotbits are much better overall in price and performance.

May have been due to the valving that was specified for the vehicle but it would be best to maybe get into a car with DMS coilovers and a car with Hotbits and feel the difference.

I had to choose over the 2 brands and I went with hotbits myself for both the AMG and VR4 simply because of the valve / performance.

Here is some dyno info -

HOW TO READ THE GRAPHS:
Each line represents a setting
-the DMS settings are basically max hard / max soft
-the hotbits settings are max had / medium / max soft
-there is another hotbits one there with the curved lines with more settings in between.

The first thing you notice is that the DMS MIN / MAX settings are very close together which means you won't get much adjustment out of them. In lbf, max is about 750 and min is about 600 at the top end.

That is about 150lbf difference from min / max adjustment.

The hotbits on the otherhand show MIN 5750 MAX 12500. This is in NM. But regardless of the measurement being used, it shows that the MIX / MAX of the hotbits has a greater effect on the coilover.

This basically means you can have a soft ride / hard ride which suits a street car. The DMS are great units (quality and repuation) but the Dyno clearly shows the difference.

If I could get my hands on more graphs I'd love to in order to determine the different spec DMS stuff.

Anybody willing to lend one to me to get tested?

They do look like a good unit, the only other issue is where to mount the external reservoir?

theyre almost as much as DMS 50mms anyway, those Hotbits that I posted.

I think for the extra cash you would be silly not to get the DMS.
